Yoga and sound retreat with Jo & Ged
Join Jo Jordan and Ged Lynch for a blissful week of energising and uplifting Yoga practice.
Journeying from movement into stillness, each practice will be accompanied by specially written pieces of music, performed live by Ged a professional musician for over 30 years.
Ged has worked alongside some of the worlds most talented artists and musicians including Peter Gabriel, Goldfrapp, Birdie and many more.
The retreat will focus on Yoga, meditation and relaxation practices using sound to deepen and enrich your experience. With specially written pieces to support both dynamic and meditative work.
We will flow through the morning practice, moving mindfully and with intention. It will be slow yet dynamic, strong but accessible to everyone (including beginners) and accompanied by an uplifting mix of soulful grooves and ancient chants.
In the afternoons we will be delving deeply into restorative and Yin practices. Using props to support us in these longer held passive poses and various pranayama practices (breath work) will give us the opportunity to go deep and let go of holding patterns in the body. A contemporary and beautiful soundscape will accompany us on our journey through these practices.
Your days will allow plenty of free time to relax and unwind. Perhaps reading that book you never have time for, taking long walks in the stunning countryside that surrounds Les Passeroses, swimming in the beautiful pool, taking some sun or indulging in a range of therapies.

*Wednesday after lunch we will take a trip out for the afternoon and have evening meal in the local village.

The retreat gives you time to fully immerse yourself as Jo shares her rejuvenating morning practices and restorative evening practices. It’s a wonderful opportunity to relax and renew amongst a lush green garden and fields which go on to the horizon and there to explore in the afternoons. Ged’s music adds another dimension which I find very healing and help me to go more inward through the soundscape.
I made some lovely connections with the other retreaters sharing stories, laughter over Moroccan tea and sweet delights in the afternoon and French wine over dinner if you so desired. The hosts made us feel like the space was ours and were very accommodating, proudly serving up scrumptious meals inspired by different countries every day. They also took us to the beautiful town of Angouleme for an afternoon to explore, shop and have a cheeky wine or a coffee in the old streets and watch life go by meeting up later at a lovely French restaurant. It was a holiday and a retreat all in one.”
The beautiful Yoga room with its dramatic tented ceiling and oak floor is the perfect place to deepen and enrich your practice. The large sliding doors bring the outside in, allowing views across the pool to the country side beyond.
Les Passeroses is renowned for its exciting menus. Using seasonal, local and home grown ingredients the vegetarian menu is deliciously healthy and nutritious.
