SATURDAY 11TH MAY SOLD OUT
Join Jo Jordan and Ged Lynch for a day of energising and uplifting Yoga practice at the spectacular Avalon Wellbeing Centre, set in the stunning 3,000 acre Broughton Hall estate near Skipton.
Journeying from movement into stillness, each practice will be accompanied by specially written pieces of music, performed live by Ged and guest musician Simon Richmond.
WHAT TO EXPECT
We will flow through the morning practice, moving mindfully and with intention. It will be slow yet dynamic, strong but accessible to everyone and accompanied by an uplifting mix of soulful grooves and ancient chants.
We have developed practices with specially composed pieces of music and sounds to deepen and enrich your experience.
Both Ged & Simon have worked alongside some of the worlds most talented artists and musicians including Peter Gabriel, Goldfrapp, Neneh Cherry, REM and many many more.
This will be followed by a much deserved and delicious plant based lunch and some time to enjoy all that Avalon has to offer.
Immerse yourself in nature. Enjoy walking in the beautiful grounds of Broughton Hall, forest bathing and taking some time to reconnect.
There is an option during this time to use the Hydrothermal Suite, this is at an extra cost of £30 per person (places are limited and subject to availability min 10 places and max 18).
In the afternoon we will be delving deeply into a restorative Yin practice. Using props to support us in these longer held passive poses, gives us the opportunity to go deep and let go of accumulated physical and mental tension. A contemporary soundscape will accompany us on our journey through this practice.
After a break for refreshments our closing practice will be a dynamic meditation. Expect an exhilarating practice journeying from movement into stillness leaving you totally blissed out.

Booking and further information
I have been practicing and exploring Yoga for over twenty years. This has led me into teaching and I have now been teaching for a little more than 10 years.
More recently I have been working with my husband Ged, a professional musician and together we have developed practices with specially composed pieces of music and sounds to deepen and enrich the practice. Together we hold classes, workshops and retreats both in the UK and abroad.
Since my initial training with the British Wheel of Yoga I have studied with many leading teaches including Jason Crandell and Norman Blair.
Taking inspiration from many different yoga traditions my approach to practice is honest and practical. I am passionate about the transformative power of Yoga and very much look forward to it sharing with you.
I have been playing with drums, sound and music, pretty much forever.
I’m a professional musician and have been fortunate enough to work with, and for, some inspirational songwriters, musicians and composers, sharing stages with the likes of Peter Gabriel, Sting,Joe Strummer, GoldFrapp and Suggs to name a few.
I’ve also recorded soundtracks for Danny Boyle and Guy Ritchie movies. These days, though, I split my time between being on tour and being in the yoga studio with my partner, in a venture called YogaJo. We run classes, workshops, and nationwide retreats that integrate live music into traditional yoga practice.
The thread that I found runs through all my musical experiences and Yoga has been empathy. I seek to create pieces of music that ‘accompany’ yoga practices in the sense that it’s sometimes passive, sometimes leading but always sensitive and appropriate. Whether the practice is dynamic or transcendental the aim is to deepen and inspire your practice.
Simon is a prolific composer, DJ and musician. His work spans a wide spectrum from film score to cutting edge DJ releases.
As a compose and producer he has written extensive commissions for high end spa and massage centres around the world and we are really excited to be collaborating with him this summer.
